Royals-Orioles baseball playoff postponed

Rain has forced the postponement of the Major League Baseball playoff match between Kansas City and Baltimore.

Game three of baseball's American League championship series between Kansas City and Baltimore has been postponed until Tuesday (Wednesday AEST) because of rain.

The series had been slated to resume in Kansas City on Monday, with the host Royals holding a two-games-to-none lead over the Orioles in the best-of-seven set.

Now game three is set for Tuesday (Wednesday AEST) and game four was rescheduled for Wednesday (Thursday AEST).

If needed, game five will be on Thursday (Friday AEST).

If the series returns to Baltimore, games six and seven would be played as scheduled on Friday and Saturday (Saturday and Sunday AEST).
