A new air guitar king has been crowned, and for the first time it is a Russian.
Kereel "Your Daddy" Blumenkrants, 24, was praised for bringing more energy to the stage than any of the 15 other contestants in the competition in Oulu, Finland.
Blumenkrants continued to advance through several rounds in the competition.
Jury member Eric "Mean" Melin, world champion in 2013, said Blumenkrants "simply exploded" in the third round.
He pulled away from the competition with his interpretation of the song Electric Butt by Finnish band Wedding Crashers.
