Ryan Harris' career highlights

Australian paceman Ryan Harris has ended a 27-Test career which has featured plenty of highlights.

RYAN THE LIONHEART:

* 113 wickets at an average of 23.52 from 27 Tests

* 44 wickets at an average of 18.9 from 21 ODIs

* Test debut at age 30 in 2010 - impressed selectors after shifting from South Australia to Queensland in 2008

* Holds a British passport, but always wanted to don the baggy green

* Ankle, achilles, hamstring, hip, knee and shoulder injuries limited his chance to shine

FOUR HARRIS HIGHLIGHTS TO REMEMBER:

* WACA, 2010:

Bowled Australia to a series-levelling Ashes win with a magnificent haul of 6-47 on day four. Sliced through the middle order with minimal fuss as England were skittled for 123

* LORD'S, 2013:

Returned to the Test side after nearly 15 months on the sidelines. Put his name on the famed honours board with a five-wicket haul, including the scalps of Kevin Pietersen and Joe Root

* DURHAM, 2013:

Did everything in his power to prevent England winning, as was the case all series. Career-best haul of 7-117 set Australia a victory target of 299 runs, but it proved too big an ask

* CAPE TOWN, 2014:

In desperate need of knee surgery and struggling to walk, he bowled Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel as Australia earned a thrilling series victory with 27 balls to spare
