S. Africa's Archbishop Desmond Tutu discharged from hospital

Archbishop Desmond Tutu has been discharged from hospital where he was treated the past week for a persistent infection, his foundation said.

His medical team has prescribed lots of rest, his daughter, Mpho Tutu, said in a statement released by the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation.

Tutu, 83, was hospitalized on July 14 after his doctor decided he was not responding to a course of antibiotics.
