Former and current bikies will be banned from owning guns under a proposed overhaul of South Australia's firearm laws.
People convicted of drug offences and other serious crimes will also be banned from gun ownership under legislation to be introduced into parliament on Wednesday, Police Minister Tony Piccolo says.
"We don't believe that people who belong to outlaw motorcycle gangs or people involved in drug offences or serious crimes have the right to own a gun," he told AAP on Wednesday.
