SA murder accused to deny charge

A man charged with the stabbing murder of a man in Adelaide is to plead not guilty to the charge, a court has been told.

Adelaide man Jeffrey Szanto will fight a murder charge over the stabbing death of another man, a court has heard.

Szanto, 42, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday and indicated he intended to plead not guilty.

He is charged over the death of a 27-year-old man who was found with a stab wound to his chest in the driveway of a Ridleyton home in April.

Szanto was arrested after a 48-hour manhunt and will next appear in the South Australian Supreme Court on October 6.
