SA teen hurt in home-made device blast

A South Australian teenager has received serious injuries after a home-made device exploded in his hand at his McLaren Vale home.

A South Australian teenager has been injured when a home-made device exploded in his hand.

Police and paramedics were called to a McLaren Vale home just before 3pm on Saturday to treat a 19-year-old man with serious injuries to his hand and abdomen.

He was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment as police unsuccessfully conducted a search of the property for other devices.
