SA teen in court over toilet camera

An Adelaide teenager has appeared in court charged with indecent filming after hidden cameras were found in Tour Down Under village toilets.

A teenager has appeared in court over hidden cameras found in the portable female and male toilets at the Tour Down Under village in Adelaide in January.

The 19-year-old, from Prospect in suburban Adelaide, is charged with 28 counts of indecent filming between September 19, 2013, and January 1, 2014, at unknown locations.

He also is charged with one count of unlawful possession at Prospect on January 29, 2014.

The teenager made his first appearance in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday, when the case was adjourned to May 22.

A member of the public found what was revealed to be a hidden camera in the Tour Down Under village in the Victoria Square male toilets on January 20.

Police were called and found a second device in the female toilets.

They later said "inappropriate images" were found on the memory card of the camera taken from the male toilet, but the card from the other toilet was faulty and nothing could be retrieved.
