Saints sign key duo on long-term deals

AFL duo Jimmy Webster and Tim Membrey have taken a leap of faith to sign long-term contract extensions with struggling St Kilda.

St Kilda ball-getter Jimmy Webster and spearhead Tim Membrey have put pen to paper on new deals to extend their stays at Moorabbin.

The 25-year-old Webster, who starred for the Saints over the first part of the season, turned his back on free agency to sign a three-year extension which will lock him away until the end of 2022, St Kilda announced on Wednesday.

Membrey, the club's second-leading goalkicker with 30 in a miserable four-win season, will not be off contract until the end of 2021 after the 24-year-old accepted a two-year extension.
