Santos to supply gas to SA power plant

Santos will supply gas to the Pelican Point power station in SA, as it looks to boost domestic supply after being blamed for the tight gas supply situation.

Oil and gas producer Santos has signed an agreement to supply 15 petajoules of gas to Engie's Pelican Point power station in South Australia.

Santos, which recently has been blamed for contributing to the tight domestic gas supply situation, said the contract shows that it is working with the federal government to deliver affordable and reliable energy to all Australians.

The company said it will announce further domestic supply contracts in coming months to support government efforts to deliver affordable and reliable energy to households and industry.
