Experimental drugs are one of the latest strategies being used to try to contain the Ebola outbreak which the World Health Organisation has declared as an international health emergency.

The worst Ebola outbreak to date has killed more than 1,100 people since March.

 

Dateline's Ashley Hamer has travelled to Sierra Leone, one of the worst affected countries in West Africa.

 

She told Greg Dyett there's an intensive effort underway to try to contain the outbreak.
