Claudia Schiffer says she prefers to do beauty treatments in the comfort of her own home.
The 43-year-old supermodel is still popular in the industry, so has to look her best at all times. That means she takes care to look after her skin, admitting she has to be more careful nowadays than when she was starting out.
"I always do facials and hair treatments at home as it means I can relax and do things in my own time," she told British magazine InStyle.
"I use more face masks now than when I first started out as a model as I need my skin to be in its best possible condition for work."
Keeping her look fresh helps with her beauty regime, so Schiffer doesn't wear much make-up when she isn't working. She likes to make her eyelashes look thick with mascara, but aside from that doesn't use too many cosmetics.
"My top tip is to never apply too much make-up. I wear a little Estee Lauder concealer where it's needed and a touch of Chanel's bronzer on cheeks, brow, chin and nose - the places where you naturally catch the sun - to give a healthy sun-kissed glow," she said.
Schiffer says she eats organic food wherever possible and doesn't indulge in much dairy or gluten. She also crams things full of B vitamins into her diet, as it helps keep her hair glossy.
The star still experiences some issues with her tresses though, but has come to understand how best to deal with them.
"For a red-carpet event it's about the whole look, so I think about the outfit I have chosen and what will work best for the hair and accessories," she explained.
"I often wear my hair close to me face in a '60s style, but it can be a nightmare for flyaways, so I'll use a little oil to keep them under control."
