Former Australian world No.1 Adam Scott is 11 shots off the lead after the third round of the Japan Open golf event.

Scott's score of 74 on Saturday put him at a two-under-par 214 for the tournament, which was good enough for a share of 16th with one round to play.

Satoshi Kodaira maintained his two-shot lead with a third-round 70, a day after he carded a 10-under-par round of 62 to put himself in the driving seat to win the event.

Yuta Ikeda is in outright second at 11-under, two shots ahead of Young-Han Song who is in outright third.

Australian Brendon Jones is one stroke behind Scott and shares 19th at one-under through three rounds.
