Edinburgh centre Matt Scott will miss Scotland's remaining end-of-year international matches due to a hand injury.
The 23-year-old fractured his hand during Saturday's 42-17 win over Japan and is expected to be sidelined for six weeks.
"Happily, Matt does not require surgery. The usual return to play from an injury of this nature is approximately six weeks," said Scotland team doctor James Robson.
"Matt will now be in the care of the Edinburgh Rugby medical team and we wish him a speedy recovery."
Scotland head coach Scott Johnson has added seven players to his squad for Sunday's game against South Africa at Murrayfield, amid injury concerns over a number of players.
Scott's Edinburgh team-mates Jack Cuthbert, Tom Brown, Lee Jones and Ross Rennie have all been drafted in, along with Glasgow duo Jon Welsh and Byron McGuigan and uncapped Leeds back Stevie McColl.
Scotland have doubts over Glasgow quartet Ryan Grant, Alastair Kellock (both concussion), Duncan Weir (groin) and Tim Swinson (shoulder), as well as Edinburgh back Greig Laidlaw (calf).
Swinson and Laidlaw missed training on Tuesday, but neither player has been ruled out of the game against South Africa.
Johnson is due to name his team to face the Springboks on Wednesday.
