So long as North Melbourne want him, that's where Brad Scott will be in the AFL.
The Kangaroos coach has dismissed speculation he could go to Collingwood or Gold Coast if those embattled clubs decide it's time for a change.
The Magpies have guaranteed Nathan Buckley's job until the end of the season, while the Suns this week announced a football review and that fuelled talk about whether Rodney Eade will stay beyond this year.
Scott was asked on Thursday whether he could rule out leaving the 'Roos at the end of this season for another club.
"I've said on so many occasions that I'm fully committed to North Melbourne, so while that's where they want me to be, that's where I will be," Scott said.
Scott, who has been North coach since 2010, has another year to run on his contract.
"The most important thing is I'm wanted by North Melbourne," he said.
"That's where my commitment is and they've been great supporters of mine.
"We're really focussed on the job we have to do."
Scott said probably the only AFL topic that prompts as much talk as potential player movement is what will happen to coaches.
"It's not annoying - I understand the landscape we're in," he said.
More immediately, the Kangaroos will try to break a five-game losing streak when they tackle the tough away assignment of Port Adelaide.
Last weekend's four-point loss to Fremantle was the fifth time this season that North have gone down by five points or less.
But for a combined total of just 14 points, North would be in the top eight with a 9-6 record, rather than second-last on 4-11.
Scott said for all their near misses, morale is not an issue.
"It's really frustrating because you want to win every week, but I'm really pleased with the foundation we're building," he said.
"I'm really pleased with the competitiveness."
At Thursday training, Scott broke the good news to Cameron Zurhar that he will be their eighth AFL debutant this season.
