Scott steady at Japan Open golf tournament

Australian former world No.1 golfer Adam Scott has carded a second successive two-under-par round of 70 to share 7th, halfway through the Japan Open.

Australian golfer Adam Scott shot a second successive two-under-par round of 70 at the Japan Open, but is seven strokes behind leader Satoshi Kodaira who carded a 10-under round of 62 on Friday.

Kodaira leads the tournament at 11-under, two shots ahead of Takumi Kanaya, with Yuta Ikeda and Jung-Gon Hwang sharing third at eight-under par.

Scott was four shots from the front after the opening day but that was only good enough for a share of 20th.

The former world No.1's tournament score of four-under par puts him in a tie for seventh at the turn, along with six other golfers.

Scott's fellow Australian Adam Bland shot a second round 73 and has a share of 20th at two-under par for the tournament.
