Adam Scott has given himself another shot at winning Australian golf's triple crown after falling just short last summer.

World No.2 Scott revealed on Monday that he will again play the Australian Masters and Australian PGA Championship as well as the Australian Open, where he again faces world No.1 Rory McIlroy who denied him the triple crown at the last hole in 2013.

Scott will attempt to become the first player to win the Australian Masters three years in succession - a feat not even his childhood hero, six-time champion Greg Norman achieved - when he tees up at Melbourne's Metropolitan Golf Club from November 20-23.

Then he heads to Sydney for the Australian Open at The Australian GC (Nov 27-30), aiming to make amends after his last hole bogey - and McIlroy's birdie - cost him the title at Royal Sydney last December.

And he'll finish up at home on the Gold Coast where he defends his title in the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines, with that event rescheduled this year to close out the Australasian tour year from December 11-14.

Scott was relishing a crack at a career first at Metropolitan, having won the 2012 title at Kingston Heath and 2013 title at Royal Melbourne.

"To win a hat-trick of events is something I haven't done before and would be right up there in my career achievements, especially to do it in Melbourne at the Masters," said Scott.

"The Metropolitan Golf Club is a fantastic course and I am looking forward to playing a tournament there for the first time."

He was also excited about returning the Australian PGA Championship where he kicked off last summer's excitement in the wake of his US Masters triumph by overcoming American young gun Rickie Fowler to win by four strokes.

It was a special win for Scott whose father Phil is a long-time PGA professional.

"There's a lot of special meaning with the PGA of Australia being part of our family and so much a part of my dad's professional life," said Scott.

"It was starting to annoy me that I hadn't won it because I wanted to win it for him and to have finally done that last year was very satisfying, probably for both of us."

Scott said he's also looking forward to seeing the revamped Royal Pines layout which is undergoing significant re-modelling and re-shaping on the front nine.
