Manly have torn up prop Zane Tetevano's contract after his court appearance on domestic violence charges.
Tetevano pleaded guilty in court in Newcastle last week to eight of 11 assault charges.
The Sea Eagles had offered Tetevano a one-year contract last month but the agreement had yet to be signed off by the NRL.
Manly said they had informed the NRL's Integrity Unit of their decision.
"Violence against women is an extremely serious issue and is one that the club does not condone or tolerate," the Sea Eagles said in a statement.
The Sea Eagles are assisting with Tetevano's rehabilitation by linking him with the White Ribbon campaign, the NRL Welfare and Education department and the Rugby League Players Association.
Tetevano had been training with Manly since the start of November but was suspended from all club duties with immediate effect on Friday.
The Cook Islands international appeared before Newcastle Local Court in relation to a series of late-night attacks on his former girlfriend and her property.
Tetevano pleaded guilty to charges including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, destroying property, common assault and stalking with intention to inflict fear or physical harm.
He will be sentenced on March 5.
The 24-year-old was axed by the Knights last May after pleading guilty to smashing a taxi windscreen.
