Search continues for Qld mine worker

Robotic equipment is being used to aid the search for a worker missing at a Queensland copper mine.

Robotic equipment is being used to search a Queensland copper mine for a worker missing for two days.

The 34-year-old was last seen on Wednesday morning at Glencore's copper mine at Mount Isa, in Queensland's northwest.

The company has confirmed the worker is missing, and production has halted while the search continues.

Police will continue the effort alongside about 50 workers on Friday, and robotic equipment that will be used to search challenging parts of the mine has been flown in from Townsville.
