Search continues for two missing men in WA

The search is continuing for two men missing off WA's coast after their trawler was found with a third man's body onboard.

The search is continuing for two men who have been missing off Western Australia's Pilbara coast for more than two weeks after their trawler was found at the weekend with a body onboard.

Mason Carter, 26, Chad Fairley, 30, and Murray Turner, 57, failed to return to Point Samson near Karratha in their 13-metre trawler, named the Returner, on July 15 as expected.

The body has been flown to Perth for formal identification while police continue to search for the other two men, focusing on the shoreline from where the boat was found, 20km north of Karratha.

Police said it was not known what caused the boat to sink but plans were underway to re-float it.
