Searchers hopeful of finding missing crew off Pilbara coast

Search crews remain hopeful of finding three men on board a commercial fishing trawler that's gone missing off Western Australia's Pilbara coast.

Items belonging to the vessel have washed up along the Burrup Peninsula and include an unused life raft, an emergency location beacon, ration supplies and some fishing items.

The 13-metre-long trawler hasn't made contact since failing to return to Point Samson near Karratha yesterday morning.

The three men on board are from the Geraldton area of Western Australia
