Second Melbourne shooting in 12 hours

A Melbourne family has been woken by bullets hitting their home in the second shooting in the same suburb in 12 hours.

A Melbourne house with a young family inside has been peppered with bullets in the second shooting in the same suburb in 12 hours.

Police say a family of four were sleeping in a Broadmeadows house on Monday morning when bullets hit the guttering and window.

There were no injuries reported, and police say it is not linked to a similar incident in Broadmeadows on Sunday night where a driver was shot at by two armed men.
