Second orangutan escape at Aussie zoo

A second orangutan has escaped from an Australian zoo in a fortnight, with Perth Zoo's Teliti managing to climb into the public gallery.

Perth Zoo will review its orangutan enclosure after an orange ape managed to climb out onto the public gallery and go walkabout.

Staff were able to quickly usher five-year-old Teliti into her sleeping quarters on Sunday after she escaped her enclosure and walked along the public viewing platform.

A fortnight ago 11-year-old male Sumatran orangutan Malu made a dash for freedom at Melbourne Zoo before being cornered and tranquillised by zoo keepers.
