Security scare delays Melbourne flights

A security scare at Melbourne airport has delayed Qantas flights.

A security breach at Melbourne Airport has forced Qantas to delay several domestic flights.

Qantas ordered an evacuation of its terminal about 7:15pm on Sunday when someone entered a secure part of the terminal through an exit, an airline spokesman said.

Passengers who had already been scanned through security had to be evacuated and re-screened in a process that took over an hour, the spokesman said.

Five of the airline's domestic flights were delayed, with flights resuming about 8.30pm.
