Selection continuity for Junior Kiwis

Match-winning half Te Maire Martin returns to the Junior Kiwis squad for their under-20 international against Australia.

Eight players involved in the one-point win last year have returned to the Junior Kiwis squad to face their Australian counterparts.

Coach Kelvin Wright is delighted to have some continuity in his armoury for the under-20 international on the Gold Coast on Saturday, remembering the thrilling 15-14 victory in wet conditions in Auckland last October.

"At under-20s, you don't get much continuity, because they're getting older and moving on so often.

"So it's great that we have managed to bring so many back that have performed at this level before."

Included is Wests Tigers play-maker Te Maire Martin, who slotted the match-winning field goal with less than a minute remaining last year.

All 18 players are aligned to NRL clubs, with four of them contracted by the New Zealand Warriors.

Junior Kiwis squad: Bunty Afoa (NZ Warriors), Nelson Asofa-Solomona (Melbourne Storm), Zach Dockar-Clay (Parramatta Eels), James Fisher-Harris (Penrith Panthers), Watson Heleta (Wests Tigers), Jamayne Isaako (Cronulla Sharks), Sione Katoa (Penrith Panthers), Daniel Levi (Newcastle Knights), Lamar Liolevave (Wests Tigers), Joseph Manu (Sydney Roosters), Te Maire Martin (Wests Tigers), Taane Milne (Sydney Roosters), Marata Niukore (NZ Warriors), Toafofoa Sipley (NZ Warriors), Jazz Tevaga (NZ Warriors), Renouf Toomaga (Canterbury Bulldogs), Tony Tumusa (Melbourne Storm), Braden Uele (North Queensland Cowboys).
