In news that is sure to upset a few a scrabble purists, dozens of new words have been added to The Official Scrabble Dictionary.
Beatbox, Chillax, Selfie, Hashtag and Vlog are among the new additions to updated dictionary, released today.
Some of the terms didnt even exist the last time the dictionary was updated more than a decade ago.
"Language is constantly evolving and new words are added to Merriam-Webster dictionaries on an ongoing basis," Merriam-Webster Editor, Peter Sokolowski, said.
New two- and three-letter words have been added, including “te” as a variant of “ti” - the seventh tone of the musical scale.
Among the potential high scorers was “quinzhee” – a shelter made by hollowing out a pile of snow, of course.
Players will also be able to infuriate opponents with any of the following: Beatbox, buzzkill, coqui, frenemy, funplex, jockdom, joypad, mixtape, mojito, ponzu, qigong, schmutz, sudoku and yuzu.
“Geocache” was also added, voted into the dictionary by the public during a Facebook contest in May.
