US PGA Tour players John Senden and Steven Bowditch have been confirmed as starters in the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast.

The Queensland pair will both tee up at Royal Pines from Dec 11-14 after strong 2014 seasons.

Senden claimed his second US tour win at the Valspar Championship and was the leading Australian at the Masters.

"It's always nice returning home a winner, the reception we get from Australian sports fans makes the Aussie summer exciting," said Senden.

Bowditch was runner-up in the US tour's season-opening Frys.com Open on Sunday and secured his maiden win at the Texas Open earlier this year.

Senden and Bowditch join a field that already includes 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott, American Boo Weekley and past Australian PGA Championship winners Robert Allenby, Peter Lonard and Greg Chalmers.
