Former East Timor president Jose Ramos-Horta has implored Australia to settle a long-running maritime border dispute between the two nations.
"Australia can do more, can do better," he wrote in Fairfax Media publications on Monday.
Australia had stymied every attempt on Dili's part to negotiate maritime borders, refusing until now, even with the launch of compulsory conciliation under the auspice of the United Nations, he said.
