Seven West Media has hired a new human resources boss as the company fights a legal battle with the former lover of chief executive Tim Worner.
Katie McGrath has been appointed group executive of human resources and will report to Mr Worner.
She replaces Melanie Allibon, who joined Newcrest Mining in January as executive general manager of people.
Mr Worner said Ms McGrath has an "exceptional track record in all aspects of people strategy and leadership."
"She will lead the development of the most valuable resource we have at Seven West Media, our people," he said.
Ms McGrath joins Seven West from marketing and communications firm Enero Group, where she has been global human resources director for the past seven years.
Prior to joining Enero, Ms McGrath was national head of staffing for management consulting firm Bain & Company.
In February, Seven West Media secured an interim injunction against former employee and Mr Worner's former lover, Amber Harrison, to stop her releasing company documents and speaking to the media about her affair with Mr Worner.
Ms Harrison last week launched a counter-claim against Seven West, and applied to have all aspects of the legal stoush transferred from the Supreme Court in Sydney to be heard alongside her counter-claim in the Federal Court in Victoria.
