Severe fire danger in most of SA

The Country Fire Service has declared total fire bans in nine South Australian districts.

Severe fire danger has been forecast for most of South Australia, with high temperatures showing no sign of easing.

Total fire bans are in place on Wednesday in the Northwest Pastoral, Northeast Pastoral, West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Riverland and Murraylands districts.

The Country Fire Service has forecast severe fire danger in those districts, with very hazardous fire weather conditions.

In Adelaide, the mercury is set to reach 36C on Wednesday before climbing to 41C at the weekend.

Residents in affected areas should implement their bushfire survival plans, the CFS said.
