Large hailstones and damaging winds have been predicted for parts of southeast Queensland.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning on Thursday afternoon, with the wild weather expected to hit the region "over the next several hours".
The bureau says Warwick, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Ipswich, Boonah, Beenleigh and Caboolture may be affected.
The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have advised residents to move cars under cover or away from trees, secure loose outdoor items, seek shelter indoors and beware of fallen power lines.
