Tony Williams has 12 months to save his stuttering NRL career after premiers Cronulla confirmed his capture on a one-year deal.

Williams joins after an underwhelming four seasons with Canterbury, the 27-year-old having joined the Bulldogs in 2013 as a premiership winner and Australian forward.

The Sharks have snared Penrith prop Jeremy Latimore a season-long contract to further add to their forward depth.

Latimore played 19 games in 2016 and joins his fifth club after 120 NRL games.

The premiers have previously announced the arrival of hooker Manaia Cherrington from the Wests Tigers.
