Sharks hope Radradra doesn't return

Cronulla fullback Ben Barba has joked he wouldn't mind if Semi Radradra extends his Fijian holiday ahead of the Sharks' NRL clash with Parramatta.

Semi Radradra might be the only person that stands between Cronulla and a club record 12th successive win and, as such, the Sharks are hoping the Australian winger doesn't return this weekend from Fiji to the NRL.

Radradra is due back from a club-sanctioned holiday for Parramatta's main training session on Wednesday ahead of Saturday's round-17 clash with the Sharks.

Sharks fullback Ben Barba said he wouldn't mind if Radradra didn't make it.

"I don't really want to play against him," Barba joked on Tuesday.

"I haven't read too much about it, though. I thought he was just going on a holiday - I wish we could all go to Fiji in the middle of the season.

"Whatever his decision is, at the end of the day, it would be good for him to stay (in the NRL) because he is such a great talent and good for the game."

Sharks forward Andrew Fifita said he felt for the plight of Radradra, who had been linked to a big money move to French rugby.

"I have been in the dumps and he has some personal issues at the moment, he wants to spend some time with his family and, if feels happiest with his family, so be it," Fifita said.

"If he is there (on Saturday), he is there - if he is not, he is not. I just hope Semi is happy off the field and I think that is the main thing."
