Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah has described David Shillington's alleged headbutt on teammate Aaron Woods as "pretty poor" behaviour for an NRL veteran.
The Canberra prop was sent off in the final minute of Monday's 20-18 loss at GIO Stadium after his run-in with Woods, marking a dour end to his 200th senior match.
Shillington took unkindly to taunts from the Tigers enforcer after he dropped the ball inside the attack zone with 30 seconds remaining.
"It was pretty poor by Shillo," Farah said.
"We know Shillo well and it was out of character for him, but it's pretty blatant from what I saw.
"There were a few words exchanged, but Woodsy did nothing other than just a sledge here or there.
"What happened after that is for the match review committee to look at and deal with.
"For us, I know none of our players did anything wrong and that's I'm all worried about."
Former referees boss Bill Harrigan said during commentary on Triple M he believed Farah, who made the tackle on Shillington, had stripped the ball.
While the Farah didn't deny having a hand in it, he wasn't taking the blame.
"David Shillington is a compulsive offloader," he said.
"As a small guy, you're always going in to try and lock up the ball.
"That happens 20 times a game, every game.
"There's no doubt that my hand did come in contact with the ball, but you've got to have some ball security as well."
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart said he didn't know what Shillington was sent off for, and would have to review the footage.
The incident was one of several melees in the match, including a couple which involved Canberra prop Shannon Boyd - who scored a double - and Tigers fullback James Tedesco.
