A shot has been fired into a car in Sydney's west.
Police say the shot was fired into a Subaru Liberty parked on the front lawn of a house on Edmondson Avenue, Austral at about 10.30pm on Sunday.
A small hatchback was seen driving away from the house and detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle to come forward.
In particular, police believe the occupants of a white 4WD seen travelling a short distance behind the hatchback may have witnessed the incident.
