Police say no one was hurt when a shot was fired into a house in Tamworth in regional NSW overnight.

A shot has been fired into a house in Tamworth in NSW's New England region.

Police say no one was injured in the shooting that happened just after 2am on Tuesday.

They are urging anyone with information to call Tamworth Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
