Shots fired at building in Melbourne

A number of shots have been fired into a building on a shopping strip in Melbourne's north overnight.

Shots have been fired into a building in a suburban Melbourne shopping strip.

An unknown offender ran off after blasting a number of shots into the Broadmeadows building just before 11pm on Tuesday, police said.

A number of people were in the area at the time, but no-one was injured and police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
