Shots were fired in a Washington DC-area hospital early on Tuesday morning, possibly during an escape by a prisoner, CBS News reported.

It was not clear who opened fire or whether anyone was injured in the incident, Fairfax County Police Department Spokeswoman Ellen Pittman told CBS.
