Should Australia sign an asylum seeker deal with Malaysia?
The Gillard government plans to send 800 asylum-seekers to Malaysia for processing in return for taking 4,000 declared refugees from Malaysia. But concerns have been raised because Malaysia is not a signatory to the UN Convention on Refugees. Immigration minister Chris Bowen says the conditions of the agreement bind Malaysia to treat asylum-seekers fairly. What do you think?
