Julie Bishop insists she's showing leadership on same-sex marriage, but still won't reveal whether she supports legislation.
In the wake of a joint party room meeting last week, the deputy Liberal leader backs a plebiscite and thinks a referendum isn't necessary.
"I have read in the media - so therefore it must be right - that I had some influence on the outcome of the discussion, so I am showing leadership," she told The Huffington Post on Tuesday.
