It was a mixed bag for the Australian contingent in the NBA with Philadelphia's Ben Simmons and Milwaukee's Thon Maker winners while Joe Ingles, Dante Exum and Matthew Dellavedova were on losing sides.

Simmons had 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in the 76ers' 116-102 home win over the slumping Detroit Pistons, who have lost five in a row.

The reigning rookie of the year scored his 400th point of the season during an 11-point first quarter to become the first player this season with at least 400 points, 200 rebounds and 200 assists.

Joel Embiid led Philly with 24 points in his return to the line-up after he was rested on Friday night while Furkan Korkmaz added 18 points off the bench as they improved to 19 and 9.

Maker had six points in his 15 minutes on court as the Bucks overwhelmed Dellavedova's Cleveland Cavaliers 108-92, despite MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo being unavailable due to neck soreness.

Eric Bledsoe had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts while Dellavedova had 11 points off the bench in his first game for the Cavs since he was traded from Milwaukee last week.

Exum made an impact off the bench with nine points in as many minutes for Utah but the Jazz were beaten 122-113 by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Ingles had just six points as the Jazz lost for the 15th time this season.

Paul George was in brilliant shooting form and led the Thunder (17-8) with 31 points and Russell Westbrook had another triple double - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Aron Baynes missed the Boston Celtics' 113-110 win over the New Orleans Pelicans due to a sprained ankle.

The absence of the Boomers centre plus Kyrie Irving, Al Horford and Gordon Hayward were covered by 31 points from Marcus Morris as the Celtics won their sixth straight game.

Ryan Broekhoff's Dallas Mavericks were too good for the Orlando Magic although the Aussie swingman failed to score in the 101-76 win.

LeBron James scored 28 points and the Los Angeles Lakers survived retirement-bound Dwyane Wade's 15-point performance in the second half of the superstars' likely final on-court meeting for a 108-105 victory over the Miami Heat.

After the buzzer sounded, and they shared a hug and a chat to close perhaps the final joint chapter of two careers that have intersected repeatedly since they entered the NBA together in 2003.

Stephen Curry notched a game-high 38 points to lift Golden State to a 116-108 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Indiana Pacers overcame the Washington Wizards 109-101 and the Sacramento Kings beat the Chicago Bulls 108-89.

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Phoenix Suns 123-119 while Denver kept the Memphis Grizzlies at bay, winning 105-99.
