Simmons, Ingles fire again in NBA

Ben Simmons's 76ers have made it four NBA wins on the trot but they're not as hot as Utah, with Joe Ingles playing a big role in their 10th straight victory.

Ben Simmons filled the stats sheet in Philadelphia's big win over the Knicks while Joe Ingles was again a standout in Utah's 10th straight NBA victory.

The Jazz reaffirmed their status as the NBA's hottest team, their 101-99 triumph over western conference heavyweights San Antonio on Monday night giving them the longest active winning streak in the league.

Ingles' strong form continued as the Australian collected 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists while rookie guard Donovan Mitchell scored 25 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 39.2 seconds left.

It was the sixth time in the last month that Ingles has bagged 20 points or more.

The first quarter belonged to Ingles - he scored 10 of Utah's first 15 points, punctuated by a dunk off a steal that put the Jazz ahead 15-10.

Fellow Australian Patty Mills couldn't get on the scoresheet in his 22 minutes for the Spurs, missing all three of his field goal attempts.

Meanwhile, the 76ers easily accounted for the slumping New York Knicks 108-92 with Simmons again at the forefront.

The Australian had 13 points, six rebounds, six assists, four steals and three blocks as the 76ers won their fourth game in succession - and 10th straight at home.

They improved to 29-25 on the season to move clear of the ninth-placed Detroit Pistons in the battle for an eastern conference play-offs berth.

Dario Saric scored a game-high 24 points as six Philadelphia players reached double figures, including all five starters.

Reserve guard TJ McConnell had a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

Michael Beasley scored 22 points for the Knicks, who lost their seventh straight and third since All-Star Kristaps Porzingis suffered a torn left ACL.

Elsewhere, Anthony Davis had 38 points and 10 rebounds to help the New Orleans Pelicans beat Detroit 118-103, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 114-101, the Chicago Bulls fended off the Orlando Magoc 105-101 and Golden State crushed Phoenix 129-83.
