Australian teenage basketball sensation Ben Simmons will attempt to salvage Louisiana State University's year when they play US college powerhouse Kentucky in their final regular season game.
LSU take on the nationally-ranked Wildcats in Kentucky at 6am Sunday AEDT, with an upset win giving Simmons' inconsistent team an outside chance of receiving an invite to the prestigious post-season NCAA Tournament.
Win or lose, the 19-year-old from Melbourne is set to cash in with a reported $US100 million-plus shoe contract and NBA teams desperate to secure the number one pick in the draft so they can sign him.
