Six more through to Brazil World Cup

European countries France, Portugal, Croatia and Greece have all secured places at next year's World Cup as did African nations Ghana and Algeria.

France staged the most remarkable comeback, overturning a 2-nil deficit against Ukraine to qualify 3-2 on aggregate.

It was a battle of the superstars in Solna as Zlatan Ibrahimovic's brace was overshadowed by a hat-trick from Portugal's Ronaldo.

He equalled the all-time Portugal scoring record to steer his country through 4-2 on aggregate.

Croatia went through at Iceland's expense despite being reduced to 10 men, and Greece booked its place with a battling 1-1 draw in Bucharest against Romania.
