Sixth canoe World Cup win for golden Fox

Australian Jessica Fox has added yet another gold to her collection after taking out the K1 event at the canoe World Cup in Germany, making it six from six.

Australia's Jessica Fox has continued her stellar unbeaten run at the Canoe Slalom World Cup, with her sixth win in a row.

Fox finished 4.5 seconds ahead of current world champion Brit Mallory Franklin in the C1 event, with Brazilian Ana Satila behind in third.

Her performance in Augsburg, Germany, follows an impressive World Cup run in Poland and Slovakia.

The 24-year-old said she was thrilled with the result and already has her sights on the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

"We are two years out and the Tokyo clock is ticking, so I really want to make every race count and learn each time I sit on the start line," she said.

"It's been an amazing three weeks and I'm so thrilled with that last race.

"I really, really attacked it, I hit the last gate but I think the rest of my run was almost perfect."

Fellow Australian Rosalyn Lawrence finished eighth in the C1 final and Noemie Fox finished in 19th place.

Timothy Anderson finished 16th in the men's K1 while a 50-second penalty saw Lucien Delfour relegated to 33rd.
