Nerveless Norwegian Marianne Skarpnord has secured a steely two-stroke victory at the Australian Ladies Classic at the Bonville International Golf Club.
Skarpnord carded a stylish three-under-par 69 to emerge from a six-way share of the lead early in Sunday's final round and clinch the fourth European Tour title of her career.
The 33-year-old's 72-hole total of eight-under 280 left her two clear of Australian Hannah Green and Spaniard Nuria Iturrios, who both closed with rounds of 71.
Sydney teenage amateur Doey Choi (72) and Swede Daniela Holmqvist (70) shared fourth spot at four under.
Third-round leader Madalene Sagstrom faded with a 75 in the final round to finish in a tie for sixth at three under with fellow Swede Jenny Haglund (71).
After trailing Sagstrom by a shot overnight, Skarpnord reeled off six birdies, including one on the last, to claim the $70,000 winner's purse.
Despite posting her best European Tour result, Green's final-round challenge never really eventuated.
The 22-year-old West Australian bogeyed the third and twice found the hazard to rack up a double-bogey seven on the seventh.
But Green rattled home with four birdies in her last 10 holes, including one on the par-5 18th, to back up her top-10 finish at last week's Australian Open.
Choi was just one shot off the lead when her hopes were scuppered by a watery double-bogey seven on the 14th. She then found the drink again on 17.
