Geelong midfielder Billie Smedts and Gold Coast's Alex Sexton will both sit out Sunday's clash at Simonds Stadium after accepting one-match bans offered by the AFL match review panel.

They will join Hayden Ballantyne on the sidelines, after Dockers coach Ross Lyon confirmed late on Monday that the livewire Dockers forward would cop the two-match suspension for his high bump on Geelong's Harry Taylor.

Smedts was sanctioned for striking Docker Lee Spurr and Sexton was outed for striking St Kilda's Jack Lonie.

The tribunal will not sit on Tuesday.
