Snapshot for day three of the first Test

A snapshot of day three of the first Test between Australia and Bangladesh in Dhaka.

AUSTRALIA V BANGLADESH, 1ST TEST AT A GLANCE

STATE OF PLAY -- Australia 2-109 in second innings at stumps on day three, needing 156 runs to win.

MAN OF THE DAY -- David Warner. The vice-captain has struggled badly on the subcontinent but dug deep to produce an unbeaten 75 and give Australia the chance to pull off a miracle victory.

KEY STAT -- If Australia succeed in chasing down an imposing target of 265, it will be their second-highest fourth-innings run chase in Asia.

KEY MOMENT -- Warner is gifted a second life when Soumya Sarkar drops him at first slip. A few overs later, Steve Smith is dropped by Imrul Kayes at short leg. Warner and Smith go on to combine for an unbeaten 81-run stand.

BEST QUOTE -- "We always say 'be the bull', and he looked like he was the bull out there, just focused and taking the game on." - PAT CUMMINS on Warner's inspired knock.
