Socceroo star Kruse in danger of missing World Cup

Australia striker Robbie Kruse is in serious danger of missing the 2014 FIFA World Cup after suffering a freak injury at training.

Kruse, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Saturday.

His club confirmed that he is out for the rest of the season, The World Game reported.
