Sonny Bill back in NRL

Williams will quit New Zealand's All Blacks and play club rugby in Japan before returning to the NRL next year.

Sonny Bill to confirm future

All Black Sonny Bill Williams will make an announcement on his future at a press conference in NZ.

All Blacks midfielder Sonny Bill Williams will return to the NRL in 2013 after a stint playing Japanese club rugby.

The 26-year-old dual international has told reporters in Hamilton, New Zealand, that he would play rugby league in 2013 but refused to elaborate on who he will be playing for.

Williams is believed to be joining Sydney Roosters next year but said that although he had a "handshake agreement" in place for the 2013 NRL season, nothing had been signed.

He will join the Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan for 12 games later this year.
